I recently ordered over $3,500.00 worth of stock for my new store and every day things are coming in! It’s like Christmas morning on crack. 

Today, however, a special item is coming in I cannot wait for! It’s a custom set of tools specifically designed for small electronics repair. I have tools already, but nothing on this scale. I’m going pro and I want the best. 

 Unfortunately, like an idiot I had it shipped to my house instead of to my business so I am waiting around frustrated and anxious for the UPS guy to arrive. Had I delivered it to the business I’d have received it hours ago. FML. 

Live and learn I guess.

I am starting to really advertise this small business I’ve recently started and I’ve come up with a flyer I personally like. Unfortunately, my personal taste does not often translate into sales! So I am turning to the only people I know who are, usually, more than willing to share their opinions and help each other out, my fellow Xangans! 

THE GOAL:

I want people, who have never in their lives considered customizing their phones, to pick up this flyer and want what I am selling. 

WHAT I NEED FROM YOU:

I want to know if any of you have suggestions to make this flyer more appealing. If there is something that you see that turns you off, or something you see that I should emphasize let me know in the comments!

After a recent shooting that took the lives of three Jewish children and a Rabbi (no, this isn’t a punchline) the leader of the the National Union Party, Ya’akov Katz, called for Jews to leave Europe.

Is it just me, or are people across the globe getting more and more anti-Semitic?

Wow, I was originally going to post about something else, but that will have to wait. Jason Russel, the film maker behind “Kony 2012″ was arrested on thursday for running around naked in public and openly masterbating!

Within minutes of the news of his arrest being released on Friday, the group issued a statement. Invisible Children CEO Ben Keesey published an one-paragraph press release, but did not touch on the topic of arrest. Instead, Keesey says, 

“Jason Russell was unfortunately hospitalized yesterday suffering from exhaustion, dehydration and malnutrition.”

“He is now receiving medical care and is focused on getting better. The past two weeks have taken a severe emotional toll on all of us, Jason especially, and that toll manifested itself in an unfortunate incident yesterday,” added Russell.

On a side note, Here is a video of the Ugandan Prime Ministers reaction to “Kony 2012″ saying that he appreciates our interest in his country but Kony had been defeated in Uganda back in 2006 and his organization is now based in Kongo and has diminished to just a few hundred. 

His statement, taken in it’s entirety, kind of makes you wonder what “Invisible Children” is trying to accomplish in the first place.

It was a TON of work, and I was exhausted and sore by the end of the week, but I did it! I finally finished the Bedroom that Paulette has been asking me to do for months and months. 

We now have an amazing bedroom with beautiful hardwood floors, a perfect bed and our very own walk-in-closet! It’s seriously amazing how nice it looks in here, it’s fresh and airy, super clean and downright gorgeous. I couldn’t be happier with the results!

We are going to go through the house now and do one room at a time until the entire house is a masterpiece. We obviously own the place, so we will be here for a long long time. I can’t wait!!!

OK, so that’s not really what happened. The cop was a girl and she “had sex” with a 15 year old boy over a hundred times over the course of a year. 365 days in a year, that means every four days or so she was getting it on with a 15 year old. 

But what does the title of my post imply? 

Simply that it would have been reported MUCH differently if the genders were reversed. 

Or would it have been? Would it have been just called “sex” if it was a guy doing it to a girl?

I’ve been planning and working on a major surprise for my girlfriends birthday and it has been consuming my time and when I say consuming I mean completely obliterating my days. I only have a certain amount of hours in the day, when she is at work, to run around and get it done. 

I have help though, both sides of her family have unknowingly been working together to help me accomplish this goal. It’s pretty cool being able to convince everyone to participate like that!

I’m recording the whole process and making a short movie for her to watch on saturday (and I’ll post it here as well, never fear!) 

I hope she loves it.  

I’ve got so much more to do, gonna get off the computer and do it!

Recognize these? 

Encyclopedias have long been an amazing research tool. They were a way to discover the world around you and to learn more about the things you loved.

The biggest problem with Encyclopedias was their content was forever out of date and if there was an error it couldn’t be fixed unless you purchased a whole new set. Also they were enormous. There was absolutely no way for them to continue holding vast amounts of knowledge and be manageable. 

Encyclopaedia Britannica has finally closed it’s doors, and with good reason. For many Wikipedia has become the biggest research tool on the planet, and even more are turning to services like YouTube to learn how to do things. Shoot, I’ve even posted in-depth articles!

Think about it, every single time you’ve wanted to learn something recently you’ve turned to the internet for the answer.

Every. Single. Time. 

Should publications like the Encyclopaedia Britannica continue publishing like they have for the last 244 years? 

I personally don’t think it’s worth the paper anymore. 

(on a side note, buy them while you can! They WILL be worth something someday.)
