  • KONY 2012 MASTURBATION SCANDAL… (SFW, BUT THE LINKS ARE NOT)

Wow, I was originally going to post about something else, but that will have to wait. Jason Russel, the film maker behind “Kony 2012″ was arrested on thursday for running around naked in public and openly masterbating!

    HERE IS A VIDEO

Within minutes of the news of his arrest being released on Friday, the group issued a statement. Invisible Children CEO Ben Keesey published an one-paragraph press release, but did not touch on the topic of arrest. Instead, Keesey says,

“Jason Russell was unfortunately hospitalized yesterday suffering from exhaustion, dehydration and malnutrition.”

“He is now receiving medical care and is focused on getting better. The past two weeks have taken a severe emotional toll on all of us, Jason especially, and that toll manifested itself in an unfortunate incident yesterday,” added Russell.

WHAT THIS ARREST MEANS FROM A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE

HERE IS ONE OF THE BEST ARTICLES I’VE SEEN SO FAR

On a side note, Here is a video of the Ugandan Prime Ministers reaction to “Kony 2012″ saying that he appreciates our interest in his country but Kony had been defeated in Uganda back in 2006 and his organization is now based in Kongo and has diminished to just a few hundred.

His statement, taken in it’s entirety, kind of makes you wonder what “Invisible Children” is trying to accomplish in the first place.

DOES THIS CHANGE YOUR MIND ABOUT JASON RUSSELL’S ORGANIZATION ”INVISIBLE CHILDREN?”

  • Wow. No idea what to say, but, wow.

  • What else what you expect from a jerk who would make a despicable propaganda film slandering a man who should be a hero to all Christians?

  • THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH CAPITAL LETTERS IN THIS POST PLEASE MAKE YOUR LETTERS BIGGER TO DRAW ATTENTION TO THIS EVEN MORE THANK YOU. :P

  • @GreekPhysique - only the links, title and the question at the bottom of the post is in caps, as is pretty standard across the web…

  • One unfortuante act of his cannot undo all that good that Invisible Children has already done.

  • @CuddlyKat - I just edited the post to include a response from the Ugandan Prime Minister saying pretty clearly that Kony has not been in Uganda since 2006 and “Invisible Children” is misleading US citizens by misrepresenting what is happening in Uganda.

  • I thought police was going to arrest this made-up character, Joseph Kony, first. But apparently the propaganda filmmaker got arrested first HAHAHAHA funny ahah.

  • @justfinethanku - I would politely disagree: only Drudge maintains the all-caps look. HuffPo, Gawker, major sports blogs that I am familiar with do not. No big deal, I just didn’t realize your thinking behind that style.

  • @GreekPhysique - haha, fair enough, I just noticed your post about Jason Russel, mind if I link to it?

  • @justfinethanku - Sure, feel free to link/comment as you see fit.

  • @GreekPhysique - done… I think it’s tactful.

  • It does really make you wonder what the whole Kony 2012 thing was about…

  • Just because Kony has moved locations doesn’t mean the pursuit of bringing him to Justice should cease, Thankfully, The PM of Uganda agrees and makes it clear that his country is still very invested in capturing this wicked man. Just because the KONY 2012 video failed to say he’s not currently in Uganda doesn’t mean we ought to question IC’s motives. Their motives have been clear for almost a decade. I’ve supported IC since their inception and I continue to do so. Jason is clearly in a rough place and needs to be taken care of. Unfortunately that has an effect on his organization, even if it shouldn’t, and they are doing a decent job at saying that. He clearly isn’t in his right mind in that video. If he was in his right mind in the video I’d be upset. As it is, I’m only concerned.

Bottom line: Jason Russell’s incident shouldn’t convince anyone that Joseph Kony doesn’t need to be brought to justice. Wherever he is bringing evil he needs to be stopped. Even if he stops, he needs to be captured and dealt with appropriately.

  • There were always wars in Africa. What I think the video was trying to accomplish was another form of colonization. If you’re going to make a documentary, at least tell it from the side of the people who were actually suffering and empower them a little instead of making them look like they’re totally defenseless and in need for MR. WHITE MAN TO COME TO DA RESCUE! Also, there are child soldiers in the army too, it makes no sense why we should send soldiers to another country to try and capture some war criminal for peace. We tried that in Iraq and how well did THAT turn out?

The only thing this accomplished was getting a guy overwhelmingly famous only to have more people laugh at his break down.

He spread his invisible children all over San Diego.

    Bony 2012.

I wonder if he’ll make another 30 minute documentary of him explaining to his toddler son why he tarnished his reputation in one stroke (or several strokes).

I’ve got a million on them, but the internet has a memory span of a week, so this will rapidly become old news once someone with a stronger reputation does something even more humiliating.

  • I’m kind of confused about the whole thing. I’m not even going to attempt to unravel it.

  • @ToastersNMilkshakes - Well said. I agree. I, too, have supported Invisible Children from the ‘get go’.  Unfortunately, there are many (too many) countries that use child soldiers (a form of modern day slavery). All of these need to be stop and I applaud IC for their work.
