I miss Calvin and Hobbes
One of the greatest comic strips ever made.
period.
I grew up on Calvin and Hobbes. I remember being a kid and reading through every one of the books over and over and over again. I couldn’t get enough. I hope my son turns out, somehow, a mix between the insanity of Calvin and the wisdom of Hobbes. I consider this comic to be “high art” and anyone who knows Calvin and Hobbes knows exactly what I mean.I just miss the little guys. They made life good.

Did they stop printing? I guess I should know that.
@TheTheologiansCafe - Bill Watterson, the author, retired at the top of his game. I think a part of it was wanting to spend time with his family, but he was also fed up fighting the newspaper for artistic creativity & control.
We have some books of his <3 we used to read them in the car on family vacations. Now my 23 year old brother uses them for toilet time ._.’
I consider it to be “high art”, too. All the good artists seem to stop and go into hiding at the top of their game, don’t they?
I couldn’t agree more. I only have a few comics but they sure do bring back memories. I think I am going to go out and buy the rest of them!
They did indeed make life better and good. Wanna go make a snow man?
Those two are unforgettable, I miss them too.
You can still find this comic strip HERE. To use, view the comic or click anywheres on it to make it bigger and again to return to normal size, then click the left ◄ facing arrow just to the right of the date to see more comic entries.
Hope This Helps ! Φ ≡
I saw something recently on Tumblr where Calvin had grown up and had a child and he found Hobbes and gave it to his child and then Hobbes came to life.
I think I’d like to purchase all the trade paperbacks one day. That’d be quite a splurge. (Not the Complete Collection. That shit is way too thick and too heavy to enjoy leisurely.)
I miss them too. I agree, one of the greatest comic strips ever.
