It’s pretty obvious that people don’t give a shit about my thoughts, but watch this:
I’m not a fan of the idea that government can have any control or say whatsoever when it comes to marriage.
I personally believe marriage is between a man and a woman.
And you can leave whatever stupid, bigoted, self righteous comments you want on this blog ripping into my for having a goddamn opinion that is different than yours, but remember one thing: I never tried to shove my personal beliefs down your throat.
But really, so what if I did? I’m doing it on my blog.
I really used to love blogging here, and you’ll probably see me around here and there but I’ve got to admit I’m tired of censoring my posts to be more mainstream.

Never censor, I love you the way you are. Prickly and lovable both
It is your own blog, so no one has the right to tell you what to believe. If they try, screw ‘em all
I believe that too but i also believe that if people want to define it differently, it’s ok. Marriahe right now has been usurped by the government, but the responsibility should be between individuals and religious organisations. If any organisation decides to do something I am not personally for, then any blame before God is their responsibility. If there is no God (hypothetically, ibelieve there is) then thry have nothing to worry about and are free to do as they choose. Is our positon bigoted? I would posit NO if we allow them freedom to do as they wish while disagreeing with their desire to do so. There is no injustice ever done in a belief that is not enforced upon people. Who has right to enforce an opinion on others? But by the same token, the right to hold any beliefs that seem good to man are fundamental. Take this away and man ceases to be man. If I take away the right for any man to be theist, or atheist, I have at that point done him serious violence, and that by force.
I totally agree with you! You can say whatever you want on your own blog. It belongs to you! Everyone else has their say, so why can’t you?!? Screw them if they don’t like it! A lot of people keep things to themselves and not speak up on what they believe because they don’t wanna offend anyone. Yet, there are people who say what they want without caring who they hurt with what they say. It’s your right to say what you wanna say whether people like it or not. People just have to learn to agree to disagree.
I stopped arguing with people on their blogs when they started arguing with me on mine! It’s like going into someone’s house and saying that their furniture is so ugly they should burn it.
I agree with you but when I saw that couple shaking their head about God being left in the Democratic platform, I wanted to slap thier faces! The arrogance of many people now….it has gotten ugly! If Obama wins again, I do believe I will try my best to get connected with my grandmother’s tribe in Canada and get dual citizenship. The government of today has gone too far!
oops, ‘heir’ not thier!
oops, ‘their’ not ‘thier’ or ‘heir’! LOL
well, i’m not deleting you. ha.
Dude, it’s your blog- if people don’t like hearing other opinions, they don’t have to read it. We have almost polar opposite views but I still read a lot of what you write and I have had no problems with it.
I completely agree with you. On everything you stated here. If everyone thought exactly the same then we’d all be programmed robots. The most oxymoronic statement I have heard about this particular thing was, “We celebrate diversity and that’s why there is no room for you here.”
There are for more disconcerting issues in today’s economy than marriage rights.
You can believe whatever you want. But, if I got your post correctly, you’re not advocating that the government should forcefully restrict everyone to abide by that “one man and one woman” idea. If I’m correct and you agree with that statement, kudos.
To me, it’s a simple concept. People are going to love who they’re going to love. That cannot be changed by anything or anyone. If the government allows people of the same sex to marry, it doesn’t have any effect on anyone else’s marriage. Like Jefferson allegedly said:
““But it does me no injury for my neighbor to say there are twenty gods,
or no god. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg.”
Substitute from “…say” to “no god” with “be married to someone of the same gender” and the concept holds.
