What makes you think it’s a real ad?
I assume they are fake ads. Funny, though.
@whyzat - @Celestial_Teapot - No, it’s real. You can register to donate http://www.barackobama.com/news/entry/the-obama-event-registry/ . It says:
“Let your friends know how important this election is to you—register with Obama 2012, and ask for a donation in lieu of a gift. It’s a great way to support the President on your big day. Plus, it’s a gift that we can all appreciate—and goes a lot further than a gravy bowl.”
Oh man. I went independently to his site and found it. NOT FAKE. June 22, 2012 is where it is, under his blog.
LOL, Obama… LOL.
Apparently the child in the video is a republican.
@whyzat - @Celestial_Teapot - They are not fake. The Obama campaign set up a website for it. Go do your own homework and find out for yourself.
@PrisonerxOfxLove - I did. I wonder if anyone will step up and take credit for such a ludicris idea?
@whyzat - It came from someone in the Obama Campaign. But to be published on an official Obama website it had to be approved by the Man himself. They are absolutely desperate for money. They just scrapped their NASCAR reception in North Carolina because they were short nearly $30 million. Or so says Wall Street Journal.
I’m less concerned with Obama’s advertising, and more with the fact that he’s murdered thousands of innocent women and children overseas, as well as assassinated American citizens without due process, including an innocent 16 year old American boy. Oh, don’t forget his kill list either.
I’ll put you in the undecided column. Or maybe independent.
Donations to political parties can be viewed by some as a form of investment in our future. I make no comment as to the expected ROI of such investments, but I don’t really see any difference between this and asking for a donation for a cause/charity in lieu of gifts. Still, the wording on the poster leaves a lot to be desired.
Yeah I believe there is zero chance of Obama getting reelected. He’s done things to piss off the vary people who would rally others to his cause (like the executive order to start a war in Libya) and the things k_ittykatz already mentioned. And he overplayed his hand with healthcare reform (which I support but now realize was political suicide).
I’d rather have a gravy dish and I don’t like gravy.
Ron Paul is the ONLY one qualified. And since his son is a sell out, Jesse Ventura is our only hope to restore the constitution!!!
Insanity is trying to do the same thing and getting the same results even though there is expectations for things to change.
Republicans expect to keep low tax rates for the rich. That is their insanity or is it their big lie that trickle down dollars will benefit the rest of America.
Obama’s campaign cannot hope to win the election if the opposition spends ten times the amount that Obama raises.

Interesting numbers no?
The registry is real. And it disgusts me.
yes he is.
@Celestial_Teapot - It’s just a page on the fundraising website.
@firetyger - You have a low threshold for disgust.
