Our Dictator just demonstrated his unlimited power.
Obama just decided to make a law. It sounds stupid to say it that way, but that’s exactly what he did. He arbitrarily decided that he didn’t like the way something worked and issued an executive order that changed a fundamental law in the United States. What’s worse is that he’s not the only president who’s done this. The last few presidents have grown increasingly willing to use executive orders to rule the people. Holy. Fuck. Don’t think this deserves profanity? Think about this, every time we have a controversy in the US you can forget about congress, the senate or the judicial branch. You can forget about democracy and justice or anything like it. Our president is now a dictator. Setting his own agenda and following only the rules he wants to follow. He is above the law because he has the power to make law. Ps: DON’T CALL ME A RACIST BECAUSE IM POINTING OUT OUR PRESIDENT IS A DAMN TYRANT!! If you think this post is racist your too stupid to be here.

@Big_Bang_Theory - uh…
So I was wrong to imagine the heading at the top of your blog did not refer to The President?
Reckon somebody’s awake on xanga. The fundamental problem is that most people do not know the branches of govt. or their limits. Should be taught in school…..Oh, wait! I forgot! They’re teaching how to give head instead! http://www.theblaze.com/stories/raping-their-innocence-parents-outraged-after-school-principal-allegedly-teaches5th-graders-about-oral-anal-sex/
Welcome to our Brave New World…..
@justfinethanku - don’t mind me, I’m just being Shelly, I mean silly.
HE IS A TYRANT is a strong reaction. Did you have the same reaction everytime any other president ever did this? I’m just thinking you’re gonna give yourself a bleeding ulcer or something if you get that upset over something that happens all the time. At least I know I would get a bleeding ulcer.
@Kellsbella - How to give head? Really? Now that’s really interesting, I’ll have to go have a look at your link.
Tyranny is defined as the powers of the execute, legislative and judicial branches residing in one person, group of people or any institution.
The Congress is sitting by letting this happen. So it will be up to us the people to make some profound changes on election day.
@Big_Bang_Theory - Most interesting. I had to learn the hard way…..it was hard.
The way things work aren’t always right, Executive Orders can be seen as “tyranny” and not being able to get through warring parties in Congress can be seen as ineffective. I don’t envy anyone in government, getting anything done would be difficult. It’s ineffective sometimes, but changing things one way or the other also seems ineffective. I am grateful I am not the one that needs to come up with answers.
@Kellsbella - good pun. LIKE
@PrisonerxOfxLove - So you mean, as in, get a better congress? I could not agree with you more emphatically.
@Big_Bang_Theory - Get a better President too. And a Senate. The Democrat Party is fresh out of ideas and only knows how to ruin things.
@Big_Bang_Theory - Oh, it’s Dr. Dumbass.
@Kellsbella - http://big-bang-theory.xanga.com/764164684/teaching-5th-graders-about-oralanal-sex/
@soccerdadforlife - Interesting screen name.
i don’t know why someone would call you a racist for this post….misinformed but not a racist. young people who were brought to this country illegally when they were infants or very young children by their parents, some who have since served in the U.S. military, have been deported or face deportation. a bill was put to Congress quite some time ago to remedy the situation but as has been the strategy of republicans in Congress for the past 3 1/2 years the bill was filibustered and therefore never brought to a vote. what President Obama did was legal and gives these young people only temporary relief. if Congress refuses to act on an issue the majority of Americans believe is common decency someone had to have the courage to do so. now republicans are claiming the move was political to get the Hispanic vote. Obama already has a large majority of the Hispanic vote. Presidents have the legal right to make executive orders. they are temporary and can be overturned later. just because someone doesn’t like a particular executive order doesn’t make the President a dictator.
@TheSutraDude - There is no rhyme or reason for Obama’s latest power grab except to further his election plans by pandering to Hispanics. Immigration policy is too important an issue to be subject to executive fiat said President Obama, himself.
@Big_Bang_Theory - Same reaction when other Presidents did this? Ah, yes. FDR was the last and they made it impossible to hold more than 2 terms as President because of it. Wilson was the last before him – you know, the guy who imprisoned some 175,000+ POLITICAL prisoners and OKed the public murder of anyone speaking German.
As for calling the man a tyrant:
Definition of TYRANT1a : an absolute ruler unrestrained by law or constitution b : a usurper of sovereignty
Hey, if the shoe fits… And the shoe – according to Webster’s – most DEFINITELY fits Obama. What’s more, this is not the first time he has openly violated U.S. law, nor showed flagrant disregard for Congress AND even the SCOTUS, and he has even met the Constitutional definition of treason – during a time of war, no less. At this point, those who defend him are decalring themselves to be a clear and present danger to the founding ideals of this nation.
@TheSutraDude - NOTHING legal about what Obama did. In fact, the Constitution tasks him with upholding the laws of the nation and, as you pointed out, they currently do NOT allow for what he is doing. Nor did they allow for him to STEAL the property of the bond holders in the auto bailouts, or to do an end-around Congress AND the Supreme Court with Cap and trade – and the Constitution SPECIFICALLY forbade him to provide military aid and comfort to Al Qaeda when he helped them in Libya.
Seems to me YOU are the one who doesn’t know the law here. But then, I suppose that is because you are one of those who doesn’t understand that the Constitution IS law.
@Big_Bang_Theory - A ‘better Congress’ requires a ‘better American people,” and that requires we all start worrying less about texting and tweeting and more about our role as free and self-governing citizens of a constitutional republic.
@black3actual - The President can issueexecutive orderspursuant to agrant of discretionfrom Congress, or under the inherent powers that office holds to deal with certain matters offoreign policy. Here’s one of Reagan’s, overturned by George W. Bush and reinstated by Obama:
1989: Executive Order 12667: Establishes procedure for access to Presidential Records. (Revoked by Executive Order 13233, November 1, 2001. Restored by Barack Obama on January 21, 2009.)
“In the United States, an executive order is an order or directive issued by the head of the executive branch at some level of government. The term executive order is most commonly applied to orders issued by the President, who is the head of theexecutive branch of the federal government. Executive orders may also be issued at the state level by a state’s governor or at the local level by the city’s mayor.
U.S. Presidents have issued executive orders since 1789, usually to help officers and agencies of the executive branch manage the operations within the federal government itself. Executive orders have the full force of law….”
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Executive_order_(United_States)
@TheSutraDude - That is NOT what he has done here and you cannot insert an argument of equivocation to avoid the reality. In case you are unaware, the White House has declared that it is now “official policy” to IGNORE THE LAWS “because Congress won’t act.” Look for it, the real journalists left in this nation are reporting it because that declaration makes this an open act of tyranny – BY DEFINITION!
BTW: the use of executive orders to make law – no matter which President did it – is also an act of usurpation of powers. THAT power is NOWHERE in the Constitution. An executive order – per your citing of Wiki – establishes nothing more than the President’s right to issue a letter telling Joe Blow how to do what the President wants done. The COnstitution does NOT give the President authority to make, ignore or subvert the law by ‘executive order.” By definition, that places the Legislative power under the executive and guess what that gives you? Ta-Da! Tyranny!
See how easy that was to figure out. Simple definitions and a common sense application of the plain language of the Constitution can solve so many silly misunderstandings introduced by people who seek to confuse so they can rule by decree instead of the rule of law
Also, you may differ, but I happen to believe that two wrongs do not make a right, nor does “Well, Johnny got to do it” mean I am going to accept it from this tyrant any more than I have the past several.
Well-said, and I agree. It is a trend that’s been going on way too long.
@Kellsbella - Wow. Please don’t teach my kids about oral sex. Let me parent them!!!
@black3actual - It was Congress that passed the law giving the President of the United States power to issue executive orders.
@lonelywanderer2 - Please don’t parent your children on oral sex…..that’s, um, just wrong….
@TheSutraDude - Every branch is limited in their powers, and the Executive Branch has overstepped its powers. (Not for the first time.)
@Kellsbella - i’ll repeat what i said. Congress gave this executive power to the office of the Presidency well over a century ago. it is likely people accused Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Ford, Reagan, Bush I, Clinton and Bush II and earlier Presidents of overstepping their powers when they didn’t agree with their policy decisions.
@TheSutraDude - I agree, the word ‘racist’ did not enter my mind. I was thinking more along the terms of “about time” somebody did something about anything in America. It’s been very tedious to be an American in the country with no movement because of the record numbers of fillibusters – when nothing can happen because one branch of government is the ‘just say no’ branch.
How is stalling all action on anything and everything, [for example, refusing to pass the the American jobs bill which would give jobs for building bridges and roads just for example] any different from having a congressional dictatorship over the president and over the country, and not a very ‘American best interest oriented’ little group of dictators either?
Executive orders happen all the time. And your second point is a good one also, congress gave the right to the President to pass executive orders.
Sad, but true.
@Kellsbella - lol, mine are now both grown, and I wasn’t thinking of demonstrations. I will add, however, I really recommend locks on the bedroom doors!!!
@black3actual - Ta-Da! Tyranny! That’s right we don’t like it.
@TheSutraDude - And another swing-and-a-miss! There is a Constitutional process for amending the basic structure of the Constitution. Congress cannot give its authority to the President by act of law, that would require an amendment. So what you have done is point to ANOTHER act of — say it with me, now — TYRANNY! (as it was an usurpation of the PEOPLES’ rights)
Thank you.
@black3actual - @black3actual - the first record of your so-called act of tyranny was an executive order by that tyrant (by your definition) Abraham Lincoln. two questions for you. did you complain about executive orders enacted by Kennedy, Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan Bush Sr., Clinton and Bush Jr. or are you new to the way our political system works? is there something wrong with your caps lock key or was Theodan onto something when he said you can tell who’s going to lose an election because their constituents are angry?
@Big_Bang_Theory - exactly. good point. the tea party was voted into Congress in 2010 based on their promise to create jobs. they’ve instead offered bills that have nothing to do with jobs. well over 100 proposals regarding women’s reproductive rights. a bill to guarantee the words “In God We Trust” remains on the dollar bill even though there was no pending legislation to remove the words. a bill banning Shariah Law and other unnecessary bills having nothing to do with job creation. it’s why Congress’ approval rating is the lowest in the history of Congressional approval ratings.
@TheSutraDude - You are making an erroneous generalization. Not all executive orders are alike, for one.
And for another, the “everybody does it” excuse didn’t even work for President Clinton when he left his spunk all over Monica’s blue dress.
Tyranny is tyranny no matter the political party or politician. Thank goodness the Tea Party has put the Washington DC Ruling Class on notice.
“your too stupid to be here.” Oh great. You’re too stupid to write in English.
I had to do a certain amount of research to figure out what you’re bitching about. Please note that Obama did not issue ONE evecutive order. Neither is he the first to issue them. So it is not clear from your post, even ignoring the “Dictator” or “DAMN TYRANT” epithets, what got your panties in a knot.
“The executive order would stop deportation and authorize work permits for undocumented immigrants under the age of 30, many of whom were brought to the United States by their parents. In order to be eligible, they must have moved to the country before the age of 16, been in the country for at least five years, and graduated high school, completed a GED, or joined the military without a criminal record.”
There it is. That wasn’t so hard, was it?
Obama’s move is temporary — as an executive order, it can easily be nixed by future presidents — and falls short of the far-reaching reform that Latino groups have long demanded.
Some argue that it’s a stroke of political genius: Obama’s immigration plan is “one of those rare masterstrokes that is both eminently good policy and great politics to boot,” says Harold Meyerson at The Washington Post.
Some argue that the president is brazenly steamrolling the “duly elected legislative branch,” which has said no to this policy more than once, says William Teach at The Pirate’s Cove.
Some argue that it’s a goodv idea with a bad execution: “Our current immigration policy is absurd,” says James Joyner at Outside the Beltway. “It makes no sense to deport” people who came here as children and have lived here for years. Obama’s plan, which happens to mirror Republican Sen. Marco Rubio’s alternative to the DREAM Act, is certainly preferable. The trouble is, “the president isn’t a benevolent dictator,” so he shouldn’t be signing executive orders that flout the law of the land, no matter how stupid that law is.
We can all relax. The Marxist Commies have not won yet.
YOU ARE WELCOME.
@we_deny_everything - America’s immigration policy must be done in Congress. Even Obama said as much before he was against it.
Why are Democrat politicians always against something before they are for it?
I know!
It must be election time.
@TheSutraDude - EXCELLENT example! Why? Because Lincoln was a tyrant. What he did in attacking the Southern States went entirely against the founding ideals of this nation. Setting aside the issue of slavery (which is NOT why Lincoln started the war), THE FOUNDERS said – specifically – that individual States DO have the right to secede. So, by starting the Civil War instead of letting the South go its own way, Lincoln effectively nationalized the Federal govt – which in turn destroyed the original intent of the Constitution.
Again, excellent example of your poor understanding of the issue at hand, and EXCELLENT example of how a tyrant works. Thanks
We gave them more power than they deserve and we did it over time for money and security. We only have ourselves to blame.
@Kellsbella - My initial reaction was much like Mr. justfinethanku‘s– Presidential overreach, and what more, in a transparent pandering to his base.
After allowing it some time to sink in, I believe that President Obama’s executive order was well within the purview of the POTUS. The role of the executive branch is to execute law– in consideration of limited resources and as a balance of conflicting prorities, the President helps decide how laws are enforced.
Yes, illegal immigration is a problem. It cheats those of us who have waited in line, and it it introduces the more unsavory elements of our neighbors in Mexico or farther abroad. This is precisely the reason that we ought to marshal and prioritize our resources. Illegals smuggled into the country as infants or toddlers are blameless, and are the most integrated and productive members of the undocumented. They are the least of our worries.
Congress passes laws. The Courts interprets them. President Obama, with his executive order, only clarifies how to enforce them.
i’m not buying into the sudden conservative upset over this. where were you guys when Bush issued a few dozen executive orders? it’s pretty obvious that either side is only going to criticize when it’s an order they don’t approve of. in this case, i approve of granting amnesty to illegal immigrants who were brought here against their will.
and i think it’s a sound alternative to the filibustering. if Congress doesn’t want to do anything, it’s the President’s responsibility to step in. conservative leaders have been pretty upfront about their goals. they want to see Obama fail more than they want to do anything else, including seeing our nation improve. they even go so far as to veto policies originally put forth by conservatives. it’s kinda pathetic… and it makes me automatically tune them out.
@TheSutraDude - Tyranny: n. Any policy enacted or supported by a democrat.
