I think there is a big problem with people taking the orange bit off and carrying them like they’re real. Stupid. It’s the stupid things people do that make others want to make laws against otherwise almost harmless things: plastic cutlery on airplanes? Although, on “Hawaii 5-0″ last week, a guy murdered somebody on a plane with two plastic knives taped together! In the bathroom, no less. I wonder if the writers have ever been in an airplane bathroom?
I love my city but this is pointless.
Taking things a bit too far, methinks. Isn’t playing with those things just part of being a kid? I was pretty partial to capguns myself, delicate lass that I was.

Don’t matter none. ANYTHING can become a toy “gun”
Although I’d rather teach a child how to handle a real firearm safely and wisely than letting the kid play with a toy one, it’s still silly to ban em.

I live right by Chicago. I know people who have been mugged by people with convincing toy guns.
I wouldn’t fucking blame them if they banned them.
By just stating this so vaguely and leaving a link that half the world won’t fucking look at, you’re giving the wrong idea. It is a serious problem when convincing-looking toy guns are made to look more convincing and are used to rob people. When you get mugged, you’re not thinking about whether the gun is real or not, the average person is just scared out of their fucking head.
We’re not talking about Nerf-guns or anything like what you’re picturing, they’re (hopefully) talking about the kinds that are being used to rob people.
